Burlington, VT-The 4th Annual Driving Force Endurance Karting Race raised nearly $15,000 to support the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging’s senior nutrition programs. This year the Driving Force Endurance Karting Race raised enough money to buy nearly 5,000 meals for seniors in the Champlain Valley. Last year CVAA served over 185,000 Meals on Wheels in Chittenden, Addison, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties.
Eleven teams competed in this three-hour endurance karting race held at Circuit 500 in Montreal. Teams of 3 to 5 people competed in this race against hunger. Each team raised over $750 to support Meals on Wheels. For the fourth year the BullsEye Team took home the top spot. Bullseye is made up of Jay Webb, of Georgia; Keith Williams of Milton and Jeremy Smail of Essex Jct. The Four Seasons team headed by Patrick Gilbert of Milton took second place followed by Team Goss Dodge headed up by Brian Hoar of Williston in third. This event could not have taken place without the generous support of our sponsors: Goss Dodge, PawPrint & Mail, and Maplefields.

The Meals on Wheels Program relies on the generous support of the community to provide hot nutritious meals to seniors. Each meal is delivered by volunteers across the Champlain Valley. If you would like more information about Meals on Wheels or would like to volunteer call the Senior HelpLine at 1-800-642-5119.
